Strathbogie Ranges wine region.
A portion of this wine was fermented in French oak barrels which gives a great balance and complexity.
A refreshing style that is drinking well now or will reward several years in the cellar.
Approx 8 standard drinks/bottle.
The fruit is grown in pink sandy loam, is hand picked and fermented in open pots. Maturation occurs in small seasoned french barriques. The wine is of a distinctive, new-world style, light pale red in colour. Aromas of cherry and mushroom with some oak influence. Fruits of cherry on the palate with some early characters typical of the variety. A wine to enjoy now, although with patience comes greater reward.
Approx 8.6 standard drinks/bottle.
This wine has huge potential. The dark, ruby red hue is very attractive, the aroma intensely fruity - berries and ripe grape skins with a slightly smokey overlay. The palette is rich and fruity; a nice tannin grip gives a very long and enjoyable finish.
Enjoy the difference.
