Boutique Bald Rock Wines
Bald Rock Wines are sourced from fruit of the Strathbogie Ranges Wine Region. At the foot of the huge monolith, Bald Rock harbours ancient granite deposits and with cooling breezes produces award-winning wines. Pinot Noir is the mainstay of the Bald Rock Wines range, and revels in the continental micro-climate.

History
Over 20 years ago our founder John Thomson had a vision for what would become an all encompassing passion for the Thomson family. To create wines of exceptional quality in what he had discovered was a perfect micro-climate in the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges.
Results
Following the first commercial bottling in 2005 after years of patient labor tending the vines John and his family were rewarded with a distinctive well-structured and vintage-consistent set of wines that went on to receive accolades from renowned critics like James Halliday and consistently get write ups in publications like Decanter.
Vision
Currently there are 2.5ha pinot noir, 1.6ha shiraz and 1ha chardonnay, established under monitored drip irrigation to control berry size and the vision of Bald Rock Estate is to continue to deliver best in class wines.
